Concert Information
Mary, Queen of the Universe is proud to present as part of its' 2003-2004 Concert Series, Handel's Messiah. Under the direction of Dr. William Picher, this musical event will feature the Shrine Choir, Soloists and an Orchestra performing parts 2 & 3 of the Messiah. It is in these portions that Handel marks the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.
The Shrine Choir, the church's professional choir-in-residence, was founded to minister to the many tourists and visitors to the central Florida area, and to provide sacred music at weekend Shrine Masses. The eight singers in the choir are all professional musicians in the Orlando area and they are under the direction of Dr. William Picher, Director of Music and Organist at the Shrine.
Please join us on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 7:30 PM at Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine. Advance tickets are available at the Shrine Gift Shop for $10.00 (children under 12 are free.) Tickets will also be available at the door on the evening of the performance.
Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine is located at 8300 Vineland Avenue in Orlando, near the Lake Buena Vista exit of I-4.
